I’m not even using my AK

Today, so far, is a good day. Other than a few business opportunities that are falling into place, I’m in a generally cheery mood. Maybe it’s the snow flurry I drove to work in or the extreme amount of good games coming out this year, but something is making me feel better than normal. I guess that means that I’ll be geeked by go-gangers later, but for now I’m all smiles. That being said, let’s talk about games.

This is going to be a slow week for this fast season but we’ll still be looking at a few interesting items. Other than the fact that I’ll be recording more WoW footage this evening, there’s more rumbling in the MMO community. This is, apparantly expansion month. So far we’ve seen WoW and Eve and now we’re looking at an expansion for Lord of the Rings Online, this time adding the Mines of Moria to the list of places you can slap people in the damned face. I have a LotRO account and have played it some but never got into it. This expansion kind of makes me want to pick it up again because Moria is a totally awesome part of the Tolkein lore. I imagine I’d have to level up a lot to even go there, so odds are I’ll let this one slide by but if it makes me want to play I can imagine it’s very exciting for the fan-base.

Also new this week is Need for Speed, well, whatever number we’re up to. I enjoy the Need for Speed games but after recently playing Midnight Club: LA, I can’t picture myself getting psyched up about this one. Maybe I’m just a dick. Of course I am. That’s about it for big releases this week. Told you it was slow.

Oh, also, check out GameRanger. It’s a new matchmaking software that matches up older games for people who like to play, uh, older games. It has Worms 2 support so I’m there. Check it out here.

I never get comments so I should know better, but what games are you guys looking forward to this week or next? Any game footage requests?
